Kansas City officials admit they made a mistake … and that could be good news for some drivers who were given parking tickets last Friday.

160 tickets were written by parking control attendants after the city activated an emergency snow ordinance requiring motorists to move vehicles along certain routes. The city, however, never announced the activation to the public.

The people who received those tickets can – just those tickets – can ignore them. People who paid the $38.50 can get a reimbursement from the municipal court.
