The NCAA announced late Saturday that Northwest Missouri State (11-1) and Grand Valley State (12-0) will meet in the national semfinals at 8 p.m. (CST) Saturday, Dec. 8, at Bearcat Stadium in Maryville. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.

California (Pa.) hosts Valdosta State in the other semifinal at 11 a.m. (EST) Saturday. The two winners will meet Dec. 15 in Florence, Ala., for the national championship.

The Northwest Bearcats and Grand Valley State Lakers have each met in the previous two national championship games. The Lakers won both contests by a combined seven points, including a 17-14 win last season.

Northwest is the representative out of the Southwest Region following its 26-13 win at Chadron State Saturday. Grand Valley won the Northwest Region championship by beating Central Washington 41-21.
