Missouri head coach Mike Anderson didn’t want to see his team suffer a "hangover" from their 86-83 loss to Michigan State the night before.  A much better night for the Tigers as they salvage one win at the CBE Classic, an 84-70 win over Maryland.

With DeMarre Carroll in foul trouble most of the night, Leo Lyons stepped up his play recording a double-double, 23 points and 11 rebounds.  Both teams struggled from the three point line, Maryland just 1 of 15, Mizzou 3 of 16. Matt Lawrence, who hit 44% of his three’s last year continued to struggle just 1 of 7 himself.

Carroll ended with 11 points, but played just 15 minutes, only four in the second half.
