A statewide survey indicates Missourians, who vote in a national bellwether state, apparently see next year’s presidential election as making the best of a bad choice. The survey shows a lot of people don’t like Hillary Clinton or Rudy Giuliani but think they would be their party’s nominees and she would win.

The survey shows 48 percent of those polled have unfavorable opinions of both candidates. But it also shows Clinton, Obama, and Edwards would beat any of the top four Republican candidates–Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, and McCain. The survey was done for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and television station KMOV. . Missouri voted for every winning presidential candidate in the 20th century—except once. The poll also shows Missourians have fallen out of bed with George W. Bush. He has carried Missouri in both of his presidential elections, but the survey shows his "favorable" rating among Missourians is only 37 percent and two-thirds of those surveyed say he’s taking the nation the wrong way.The study also finds 60 percent of Missourians find the Iraq War not worth the cost…Only 35 percent support it.
