Yes, it was an exhibition game on Friday night, but Rick Majerus’ Billikens got off to a good start.

The Saint Louis Billikens took command midway through the first half and went on to register a 71-54 victory over the University of Missouri-St. Louis in an exhibition game at the Scottrade Center on Friday night.

The game featured five ties in the first eight minutes before Saint Louis put together a 17-6 run to gain its first double-digit lead.

Kevin Lisch led all players with 20 points. He was 6-of-11 including 4-of-8 on three pointers.  The Billikens, shot 52.2 percent from the floor.

Only one exhibition game for the Billikens.  They open the regular season against North Carolina A&T at the Hispanic College Fund Challenge, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh, on Friday, Nov. 9. Game time is 3:30 p.m. CT.
