The St. Louis Blues saw their record drop to 5-3 on the season as they were shut out 3-0 by the Columbus Blue Jackets Thursday night in Columbus. 

After a scoreless 1 st period, the Blue Jackets went ahead with goals by Jared Bell, his second of the season, and Rick Nash who tallied his eighth of the campaign.

Jiri Novotny scored his fourth of the season in the 3 rd period to round out the scoring.

The Blues get back into action Saturday night when they host the Washington Capitals at Scottrade Center.
