The national Hispanic group LaRaza is sticking with its decision to pull its national convention out of Kansas City. LaRaza had demanded that a member of the Kansas City Park Board resign because she is an opponent of illegal immigration and a member of the Minutemen group.
Mayor Mark Funkhouser has refused to ask Frances Semler to leave the park board or to quit the Minuteman.
