A lawn mower dispute in Kansas City that led to a murder case has led to a 15 year prison sentence.

Robert Simmons had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder earlier. He’s one of three people charged with killing 14-year-old Cortez White when White returned a lawn mower. The owner of the mower said White’s father had taken it without permission.

One of the others involved also has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. The third person has pleaded guilty and is waiting to be sentenced.
