A Kansas City man charged with possessing child pornography knows his sentence can be reduced if he cooperates with authorities and accepts responsibility for his crime.

So Michael Alexander has worked out a deal with prosecutors in which he has pleaded guilty but reserves the right to challenge his arrest. He says the police search that turned up the porn was done illegally.

Alexander says police had a search warrant that did not include looking for child porn. Police had gone to his house after a former girlfriend complained she had been videotaped in the nude without her permission.
