The Cleveland Indians took advantage of 3 home runs, including a 9 th inning walk off homer by Casey Blake, to snap a tie and edge the Kansas City Royals 5-4 Friday night at Jacobs Field in Cleveland.

Franklin Gutierrez and Victor Martinez also homered for the Tribe.

Joe Borowski (4-5) pitched 1 shutout inning to pick up the win. David Riske (1-4) gave up 2 earned runs in 1 inning of work to take the loss.

The Royals (68-83) and Indians (86-61) play again Saturday night in Cleveland. Zack Greinke (6-5) goes to the mound for Kansas City against the Tribe’s Fausto Carmona (16-8).
