With two weeks to go in the Royals season, manager Buddy Bell will step down. General Manager Dayton Moore is tight lipped, but there are some potential candidates who could come from the Braves organization.
1. Terry Pendleton, former Cardinal third baseman, now the Braves hitting coach. No managerial experience.
2. Brian Snitker, third base coach for the Braves, very familiar with Dayton Moore.
3. Jim Fregosi, managed for 15 years and is a special assistant to the Braves GM.
4. Jimy Williams, managed for 12 years and is known to work well with young players.
