The St. Louis Cardinals move above the .500 mark for the first time since April, completing the sweep of their three game series against Cincinnati, edging the Reds 3-2 Sunday afternoon at Busch Stadium.

Rick Ankiel was the key man with the bat, going 1 for 3 with a pair of runs batted in, including his 6 th home run and a sacrifice fly.

St. Louis starter Braden Looper (12-10) pitched 7 shutout innings for the win, allowing only 4 hits. Jason Isringhausen pitched the 9 th inning, giving up an earned run on 2 hits to earn his 28 th save. Bronson Arroyo (7-14) allowed 3 earned runs on 8 hits in 6 1/3 innings to take the loss.

The Cardinals (67-66) open a four game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates Monday afternoon at Busch Stadium. Kip Wells (6-15) goes to mound for the Redbirds against tge Bucs’ Paul Maholm (10-14).
