The last time the University of Missouri-Rolla Miners played the Missouri State Bears was back in 1980. Kirby Cannon was playing special teams and was the holder on PAT’s for the Bears. His Bears lost to UMR, the only loss in MIAA conference play that year.
Fast forward 27 years, on this Thursday, Cannon will be back on Plaster Field, this time as the head coach of the Miners.
