The St. Louis Rams fall to 1-2 in the NFL Preaseson, dropping a 20-10 decision to the Raiders Friday night in Oakland.

Oakland struck first with the only points of the 1 st quarter on a 50-yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski.

The Raiders extended their lead in the 2 nd quarter when Ronald Curry gobbled up a 19-yard pass from Daunte Culpepper. Janikowski’s extra point made it 10-0 Oakland.

The Rams got on the board with 6 and a half minutes to go in the 1 st half on a Jeff Wilkins’ 26-yard field goal, capping a 14 play, 64-yard drive.

Oakland tallied again before the end of the half. A 1-yard run by Lamont Jordan with less than a minute play, with Janikowski converting, put the Raiders in front 17-3.

Janikowski had the only points of the 3 rd quarter on a 42-yard field goal.

In the 4 th , the Rams scored their only major on the night when Marques Hagans caught a 6-yard pass from Gus Frerotte to cap a 6-play, 31-yard drive. Wilkins’ convert made the final 20-10.

Frerotte and Marc Bulger were the main signal callers on the night, with Ryan Fitzpatrick seeing limited action. Frerotte completed 10 passes in 18 attempts for 108 yards with a TD. Bulger went 8 for 21 for 109 yards. Fitzpatrick completed 3 of 5 passing attempts fro 27 yards. Interestingly enough, Fitzpatrick was the Rams leader on the ground as he ran for 30-yards in his lone carry.

The Rams have one more tune-up before the regular season begins. They host the Kansas City Chiefs, on Thursday, in the annual Governor’s Cup game.
