The St. Louis Cardinals win their second in as many nights against the Florida Marlins, coming from behind to defeat the Fish 6-4 Wednesday night at Busch Stadium.

There were several Redbird hitting heroes, including Jim Edmonds whose 9 th home run of the season with one man on in the 7 th inning put the Cards on top to stay. Also going deep in this contest were Albert Pujols, who homered for the fifth straight game, belting his 30 th roundtripper of the season with one on in the 1 st ; and Yadier Molina, who hit his 4 th home run in the 5 th inning.

Miguel Olivo and Jeremy Hermida hit home runs for the Marlins.

Cardinal starter Braden Looper was not involved in the decision, but pitched a solid 6 innings, allowing only 2 earned runs on 4 hits. Russ Springer (6-1) pitched 1 perfect inning for the win. Jason Isringhausen tossed a perfect inning for his 25 th save. Scott Olsen (9-11) started for the Marlins, giving up 6 earned runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings to take the loss.

The Cardinals (61-62) and Marlins (56-71) wrap up their series Thursday night at Busch Stadium with the Redbirds going for the sweep. Anthony Reyes (2-12) starts for St. Louis against Florida’s Rick VandenHurk (3-4).
