Tour de France champion Alberto Contador of Spain and American Levi Leipheimer, the third place finisher, were announced by the Discovery Channel Team as participants in the inaugural Tour of Missouri.
The bike race will take place from September 11th-16th and will cover 600 miles across Missouri. It will start in Kansas City on the 11th, and go through Springfield, Branson, Lebanon, Columbia, Jefferson City, St. Charles, and finally finishing up in St. Louis.
