The deadline has come and gone for the filing of legal arguments in the Missouri campaign contribution refund issue. And, the State Supreme Court now has plenty of material to look through as it determines whether contributions made in excess of the previous limits should be returned.
At issue are contributions made through July 19th, when the Supreme Court struck down the campaign finance law and reinstated the limits that had existed prior to January 1st. The Court had given interested parties until Friday to submit legal arguments. At least a half dozen briefs have been filed.
