One researcher is getting the blame at the University of Missouri which has concluded a year-long investigation into scientific fraud.
Investigators have concluded that researcher Kaushik Debt altered photographs of mouse embryos that appeared in the February 2006 issue of the journal Science. The journal warned in November that some of the results might be suspect. A retraction appears today. The university asked for the retraction after the investigation concluded.
