For the second time in as many games the Philadelphia Phillies score in double figures against the St. Louis Cardinals, downing the Redbirds 10-4 Saturday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins each homered for the Phillies. Aaron Rowand went 4 for 4 with a run batted in. Pat Burrell went 3 for 3 with 4 RBIs as the Phillies tallied 14 hits on Saturday to add to the 23 they hammered out Friday.

Albert Pujols belted his 18 th home run, 1 of 2 hits the St. Louis first baseman had on the day. David Eckstein and Juan Encarnacion each added a pair of hits.

Philadelphia starter Cole Hamels (11-4) pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 earned runs on 8 hits to pick up the win. St. Louis starter Mike Maroth (5-4) gave up 8 runs, 6 of them earned, on 9 hits in 5 innings of work to take the loss.

The Phillies have outscored the Cardinals 23-7, so far, in this weekend series. St. Louis (40-47) and Philadelphia (46-44) wrap up the series Sunday night in Philly. Adam Wainwright (7-7) goes to the mound for the Cards against the Phillies’ Adam Eaton (8-5).
