Missouri’s Attorney General office is making it easier for consumers to do their homework before making a major purchase.

Attorney General Jay Nixon says the Know MO link on his Web site contains a database of 100,000 consumer complaints filed with the office since the beginning of 2004. The search results will show how many complaints were registered under a specific name or a specific location. If a consumer clicks on a specific name, he will be able to see the date of each complaint and the category under which the complaint is listed.

Nixon says this is the first time Missouri consumers have been able to access a list of all the complaints filed with the Attorney General’s office with a click of the mouse. Nixon says Know MO can now become a part of the consumer’s homework, especially when making a major purchase.
