The Kansas City Royals win their third straight game, the second in a row over the Los Angeles Angels, as they downed the Halos 12-4 Tuesday night at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

Every hitter in the starting lineup, with the exception of Emil Brown, had at least one hit on the night. Billy Butler hit his first career home run for the Royals. John Buck belted his 14 th of the season. Alex Gordon later hit his 6 th home run of the year.

Gil Meche (5-6) pitched 6 innings for the win, giving up 3 earned runs on 7 hits, striking out 6. Ervin Santana (5-8) gave up 5 earned runs in 5 innings of work to take the loss.

The Royals (32-46) and Angels (49-29) wrap up their three game series Wednesday afternoon at Angel Stadium. Jorge De La Rosa (4-9) goes to the mound against L.A.’s Jared Weaver (6-3).
