Chase Utley went 3 for 5 on the night with a RBI, one of five Phillies driving in runs to lead the team to victory.

Jamie Moyer (7-5) pitched 6 innings for the win, allowing 7 hits while striking out 6 batters.

St. Louis starter Anthony Reyes (0-9) pitched 4 1/3 innings in a losing cause, giving up 5 earned runs on 9 hits.

The Redbirds (32-38) and the Phillies (38-35) play Saturday afternoon at Busch Stadium. Adam Wainwright (5-6) pitches for the Cardinals against Philadelphia’s Adam Eaton (7-4).
