Federal and state law enforcement officials have nabbed more than 100 suspected illegal aliens in an immigration sting in Butterfield in southwest Missouri.

The operation at George’s poultry processing plant was run by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The enforcement was part of an ongoing ICE investigation into identity theft, Social Security fraud, and a variety of immigration-related violations.

Back in March, federal and state agencies teamed up to arrest about two dozen suspected illegals working for Sam’s Janitorial Services, which had contracts with the state to clean a number of government buildings. Following that operation, Governor Matt Blunt signed a directive ending state contracts with Sam’s and barring the company from working for the state.
