Former Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronnie White is leaving the Supreme Court.  White has announced he will retire effective July 6 th , after thirteen years on the bench.

White was appointed to the State Supreme Court in October of 1995 and served as Chief Justice from July of 2003 through June of 2005.  He previously served as a judge on the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.

White, a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School, previously served three terms in the Missouri House of Representatives. He has not announced any future plans, but says he wants to remain active in the legal field.
