Lincoln University in Jefferson City is the latest of the state’s colleges and universities to promise scholarships for students whose families have invested for college through the Missouri Savings for Tuition – the MOST program.

Lincoln has announced 10 scholarships of $500 per year will be awarded annually for students enrolled in MOST. State Treasurer Sarah Steelman (R-MO) joined Lincoln’s President Carolyn Mahoney in announcing this latest proposal.

Similar $500 scholarships have already been announced at a number of other state universities. Steelman’s plan is to have all of the state schools offering these MOST scholarships. She then plans to work on the private schools.

MOST is Missouri’s 529 College Savings Plan which includes low fees and tax-free savings to help Missouri families make college affordable.
