Mizzou lefthander Rick Zagone has been named Co-Big 12 Pitcher of the Week. Zagone pitched his second complete game of the season, beating Kansas State 3-0 last Saturday.
Zagone carried a no-hitter with one out in the ninth, before the Wildcats snapped the bid with a single. He struck out a career-high 11 batters and stayed perfect with a 6-0 record. Zagone’s complete game shutout was the first by a Big 12 pitcher in a conference game.
