Three teenagers have been killed when a train hit their car at a grade crossing in Excelsior Springs. Investigators say the red lights were flashing at the crossing but there was no crossing gate. The three had been at a family Easter get-together a few minutes earlier.
The Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern freight train dragged their car about a quarter mile before it could stop.
