A man on trial for killing a Kirkwood police sergeant has stunned the jury by admitting that he did it.
Kevin Johnson, who is accused of shooting Sergeant William McEntee several times, had previously denied doing it. But in his testimony he said he was in some kind of a trance and does not know why he shot McEntee.
Johnson faces the death penalty if he’s convicted.
The trial continues today.
