A man desperate enough to wound two policemen in Neosho is believed to be hiding in some wounds south of there, in McDonald County.

Newton County sheriff Ken Copeland says Adam Daniel Bridgewater engaged in two later exchanges of shots with Highway Patrol officers before wrecking his car. He fled into the woods after exchanging shots with McDonald County sheriff’s officers. Copeland says Bridgewater might be wounded.

One of the officers in Neosho was shot in the face and is hospitalized. The other one suffered a less serious wound and has been treated at a hospital.
