With the regular season complete and most major conferences opening up tournament play over the next few days, many player awards are being handed out.

Tommie Liddell of St. Louis University earned second team All-Atlantic 10 honors, voted upon by the league’s coaches.  The sophomore guard leads the Bills in scoring at 15.4 points a game, and ranks second on the team with 7.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists.  SLU guard Kevin Lisch was named as an honorable mention all-conference and was named to the All-Defensive Team.

Missouri guards Stefhon Hannah and Matt Lawerence both received recognition from the Kansas City Star newspaper for the their roles in helping Missouri rebound from one of its worst seasons in recent memory.  Hannah captured the Newcomer of the Year Award, and was voted second-team All-Big 12.  Lawerence was named to the All-Improved Team.
