The Missouri softball team swept a double header over in-state rival Saint Louis University Wednesday night.

The Tigers got the night off on a good note defeating the Billikens 15-4 in Game 1. Freshman pitcher Jana Hainey picked up her second win of the season giving up two earned runs on four hits while striking out four SLU hitters in four innings of work.

Junior Micaela Minner helped the Tigers jump out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning with her 27 th career home run which set a school record for homers in a career.

Mizzou completed the sweep with an 11-3 victory in Game 2. Leadoff hitter Leanne Bowers went 3-for-3 in the game and fell just a double short of hitting for the cycle. She also drove in two runs and scored four times. Jen Bruck got credit for the win after pitching five innings and striking out two hitters while allowing three runs.

The Tigers improved to 8-6 on the year.
