Saint Louis University hadn?t won a conference road game all season. They needed one bad if they wanted to stay in contention for the Atlantic-10 Conference regular season title. Well, SLU got the victory they needed, defeating St. Joseph?s 73-62 in Philadelphia Thursday night.

The Billikens got a strong performance from Tommie Liddel who led all scorers with 21 points. But it was his individual 10-point stretch that helped SLU pull away in the final four minutes.

Kevin Lisch helped out with 19 points and Dwayne Polk added 11 for Saint Louis.

Three teams sit atop the A-10 standings with 6-2 records. UMASS is 5-2, Xavier is 5-3, and then SLU is tied with three other teams at 4-4.
