President Bush picks Lee’s Summit for a discussion of changes he’d like to make in health care coverage. He brought in a select group to St. Lukes East Hospital to talk of their problems with health care – problems that mesh with his proposed solutions. Bush’s plan calls for making health insurance taxable and giving standardized deductions works. The president heard no dissent at the roundtable. Other health care issues he pushed included tort reform, high tech care, and health savings accounts.
