The annual football game between Missouri and Kansas a.k.a. The Border War will move from the campus to the big stage. Starting next season, the Border War will be played in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium. For now it’s a two-year agreement. Kansas will be the home team in 2007, while Mizzou will take its turn in 2008.

Each university will most likely receive a minimum of $2 million to play at Arrowhead. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website, Missouri officials said $1.8 million of that guarantee will be profit and a substantial increase from the $800,000 to $900,000 it was to receive for hosting Kansas in 2008.

Mizzou season-ticket holders will still get six home games. The athletic department plans to add an extra non-conference home game in 2008 to make up for the change of venue.
