The Blues had their three-game winning streak snapped by another up-and-coming team. The Phoenix Coyote held off a pesky St. Louis team for a 5-4 shootout win at home.

Ladislav Nagy scored the winning goal in the shootout. Phoenix won the last of a three-game homestand after coming home on a seven-game winning streak.

The Coyotes got two goals and an assist from Ed Jovanovski.

The game was tied 2-2 with less than a minute to play in the second period when Jovanoski gave Phoenix a 3-2 lead with a shot from the point.

Dennis Wideman evened the score again with a goal in the third period.
