Nasty weather is starting to hit parts of the state, and much more Winter weather is headed this wey. And, in anticipation of any problems that might arise, Governor Matt Blunt has activated the State Emergency Management Agency to response level one – a level at which a number of SEMA staff members will remain on the job throughout this weather emergency. Blunt spokesman Jessica Robinson says it’s important to have resources in place just in case the situation gets really bad in the coming hours. Robinson says personnel will be monitoring the weather situation throughout the night and into the morning hours to help local governments address any eemrgencies that might arise.
