Owners of the four Guest House group homes in southwest Missouri ordered closed by the state have appealed the revocation of their operating licenses. One of the group homes burned in Anderson in November, killing eleven people. The State Health Department has revoked licenses or refused to issue new ones to the Joplin River of Life Ministries because the orgnaizationw as being run by convicted felon Robert DuPont. DuPont’s wife says she had no intention of reopening the group homes but the company needs to have them re-licensed so she and her husband can sell them. She says they have no life savings or investments and the group homes are the only things they have.
