Any time you have over 20 players missing from practice, it can be tough to get a whole lot done. But the Missouri football team had to make due yesterday, because almost half the team was out with the stomach flu.

Tiger Head Coach Gary Pinkel hopes it was just a 24-hour bug, especially since Friday’s Sun Bowl against Oregon State is just two days away.

Practice “was unhealthy,” Pinkel said. “We have 20-plus players that have some kind of bug. We adjusted and made it work, but boy, we had coaches out, we had players out. Never been through something like this before. I just don’t want to have 25 guys tomorrow morning again because that hurts your preparation.”

Mizzou practiced at the Socorro Athletic Complex in just shorts and shoulder pads. They worked out Monday in full pads for the final time this season.
