The Blues’ three-game winning streak came to an end last night at the hands of a team they just cannot seem to beat. For the third straight game against Nashville, St. Louis fell in overtime. This time it was in a shootout 3-2.

Bill Guerin and Radek Dvorak both scored for the Blues, but the team could not find the back of the net in the shootout, getting shutout by Predators’ goalie Chris Mason

Blues’ goalie Manny Legace stopped 27 of 29 shots in the loss. Earlier in the day he was named the NHL’s No. 2 Star for the week that ended December 24th. He posted a 3-0 record with a 1.69 goals against average during the span, and his save percentage was a stellar .930.

St. Louis will play a home and home series with the Avalanche beginning Friday in Denver, and then host Chicago for a pair of games next week.
