A battle between two MIAA schools from Missouri was won by the team that had been there before. Central Missouri State knocked off Missouri Southern 30-17, 25-30, 30-19, 30-21. As the scores indicate, the Jennies dominated from the get-go.

UCM, in the NCAA Tournament for the 24th consecutive year made short work of the Lions, making their first appearance. Katie Tarka led the hot-hitting Jennies with 22 kills and 19 digs. Jillian Ohrman was right behind Tarka with 20 kills. She also added five blocks. Caitlin Pankratz set-up nearly every point with 50 assists. And Audrey Jensen recorded 25 digs.

Central Missouri moves on to the regional semis against West Florida.

West Florida completed the upset of the day sending #19 Washburn packing in three games. The Argonauts did a better job of finishing games in a 30-25, 30-27, 30-25 upset in the first-round.

The Argonauts recorded seven aces and received 26 kills from Naiara Fernandez. Carly Moyer helped out with a team-high eight blocks.
