The Rams showed it still had some life in its offense after the Mike Martz Era. Actually, the Rams out dueled Martz and his Lions offense in a 41-34 win Sunday.

St. Louis trailed three times during the game but relied on Marc Bulger to continue playing mistake-free football completing 26-of-42 passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns. Bulger has yet to an interception this season.

Steven Jackson helped the offense stay balanced rushing for 81 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown.

Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce both reminded Martz what he had to work with as conductor of the “Greatest Show on Turf.” Holt finished with six catches for 102 yards. Bruce had seven receptions for 100 yards, both scored a touchdown.

The Lions offense put up its share of stats as well. Kevin Jones ran around and through Rams defenders for 93 yards on 19 carries and two scores.

Roy Williams caught nine balls for 139 yards, while Mike Furrey snagged eight passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

St. Louis trailed 34-33 with 4:42 left to play and the ball on their own 44. It only took seven plays for Bulger to find Bruce on the right side for a touchdown and the lead with 1:56 to play. The pair connected again for the two-point conversion.

The Rams defense sealed the deal intercepting Jon Kitna on the first play of the ensuing possession.
