No matter what the standings say, the 49ers will never see St. Louis as anything but the same-ole-Rams.

San Francisco continues to have the Rams number – they swept STL in two games last season – and nothing changed in Sunday’s 20-13 win. Frank Gore set a career-high in rushing yards with 127 and Alex Smith passed for 233.

The Rams offensive line was abused for six sacks. Making matters even worse, left tackle Orlando Pace suffered a concussion in the first half and never returned.

Steven Jackson was the lone bright spot for the Rams rushing for 103 yards. He’s clipped the century mark in both games this season. A year in which St. Louis has ditched the “Greatest Show on Turf” offense, head coach Scott Linehan is struggling with an offense that’s only scored one touchdown so far.
