The State Supreme Court has refused to hear cases involving ballot issues until those cases go through an appeals court. The Supreme Court has transferred cases involving eminent domain and restrictions on state government spending back to Missouri’s Western Court of Appeals. The group Missourians in Charge had sued Secretary of State Robin Carnahan for denying a place on the November ballot for both measures. Carnahan ruled the eminent domain ballot measure had a fiscal note error, and that the petition for the ballot issue limiting state government spending had pages incorrectly numbered.
