The Speaker of the Missouri House is in the midst of a statewide tour to promote Missouri’s agriculture-related industries. Speaker Rod Jetton of Marble Hill has been talking to farmers and businesses to gain a better understanding of operations and to find ways that state government can better serve the agriculture community. The tour has already taken Jetton to such places as Sedalia, Salem, Scott City, Charleston, and Troy. Today, he visits a future biodiesel plant in Mexico and an ethanol plant under construction in Ladonia. The tour wraps up next week with stops in Dexter, Fredericktown, and Portageville.
