A constutional amendment reauthorizing the one-tenth percent sales tax for soil and water conservation has been overwhelmingly approved by Missouri voters. Department of Natural Resources Director Doyle Childers is pleased with the result, saying it guarantees the tax will remain in place for at least the next ten years. Childers says almost one hundred percent of the funding for soil and water conservation programs comes from the small tax.
