He says he just needed a little rest. Legendary Negro Leagues Baseball player, manager and goodwill ambassador Buck O’Neill remains hospitalized after complaining that he didn’t feel well. Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Marketing Director Bob Kendrick says they were still waiting for test results, but believe O’Neil simply needs a little rest. Kendrick says O’Neil remains in good spirits and continues to believe his health problem stems from a hectic schedule. O’Neil is 94 and recently spoke at the Baseball Hall of Fame ceremonies in Cooperstown, New York, on behalf of a number of Negro Leagues players and officials inducted into the Hall.
