The Springfield Cardinals scored three runs in the ninth to overcome 2-0, 4-2, and 4-3 deficits and beat Tulsa 6-4.

Nick Stavinoha led the Cardinals offense with three hits and four RBIs, including two in the ninth-inning rally.

His single with two outs scored Shaun Boyd and Mike McCoy breaking a 4-4 tie. Springfield tied the game when Drillers third baseman Ian Stewart made an error that allowed McCoy to score.

Cardinals starter Jordan Pals went six innings giving up four runs on nine hits and striking out nine. Reliever Chris Russ got the win pitching two scoreless innings. Closer Mark Worrell III pitched the ninth to earn his 20th save of the year.
