Jordan Pals, Terry Evans, and Nick Stavinoha each played a huge role in Springfield snapping a seven-game losing streak, beating Wichita 6-4.

Pals started the game on the mound and stayed there for seven strong innings, allowing three runs – two earned – on six hits and striking out five.

Evans and Stavinoha both went 3-for-3. It was Stavinoha’s sacrifice fly that plated the first Springfield run and opened the gates for a three-run inning. He had two RBIs on the night. Evans also drove in a run and Cody Haerther added two RBIs.

Wichita carried a 3-0 lead into the fourth, but the Cardinals rallied to score the next six runs to take a 6-3 lead. The Wranglers answered with a run in the eighth, but it was a little too late. Reliever Cory Doyne retired the final four batters to earn the save.
