Two Public Service Commissioners are turning up the heat on AT&T, trying to get the company to reveal whether it has given private customer information to national security officials. Commissioner Robert Clayton is not sure where the line is between protection of consumer information and national security needs. Clayton and Commissioner Steve Gaw have ordered AT&T to show up at a hearing July 12th, and to bring records showing what information has been requested by the National Security Agency and what information has been released.
