Governor Matt Blunt has directed the Department of Social Services to change regulations so nearly 5,500 children forced off the state health insurance program can get back on. Blunt says he took the step to make up for an inadvertent change in state law. That change in state law had left these without health insurance through the State Children’s Health Insurance Program. The change will cost the state $1.8-Million.
